webspace files disappeared - Chetnet Unofficial Virgin Media Broadband Forums

I uploaded some files to my ntl webspace some time ago (within the last year) for a simple web site, but they have all disappeared. I'm certain that I did nothing to delete them. Do ntl have some rule that deletes all files if the space is not used for some time or is it likely that there has been some other technical issue?

Can anyone recommend a paid for web space that is more reliable and has more facilities than the free one from ntl?

as for the issue as far as i am aware there are no policies on deleting webspace....however if your account got cancelled/suspended at anytime then it would of been deleted...it is possible of a glitch but i can't say if it was or not.

as for the paid for service i remember chet was going to offer hosting....don't know if he decided to or not. with a bit of luck he will post to advise now.

6 months ago I'd have recommended 34sp but I'm moving across from them over the next few weeks.
