Speed Testers - again
I am not a great fan of speed test sites, but I took a look at this speed tester Speed.io
First test result I got was consistent with the ThinkBroadband test. ![]() (Its an ADSL, not cable, connection) I have heard some criticism of Flash-based speedtesters though so I thought I'd ty again ![]() and again ![]() ![]() Over the last few days I have tried this on XP, Vista, Ubuntu and Win7 Beta, and different browsers on different PCs. It always does this. Is anyone else seeing the same? Peter

Thanks all, I am going to e-mail them about this, so the more the merrier!
Walter, was that your first reading? If so please can you try again? It seems that the second and subsequent readings are higher than the tier of service you are on. Please can you let us know what you get for second and third readings (you may have to ignore the first)? Peter

yeah this site seems inconsistent to say the least. first was 5115Kbps then 13kbps. on a 10Mb/s connection!
i find this one to be pretty stable. http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/
